Mental Health Awareness Week

The 15th-21st of May 2023 is ๐Œ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐€๐ฐ๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐–๐ž๐ž๐ค and the theme for this year is 'anxiety'.

Anxiety is a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease about something with an uncertain outcome and some of the symptoms include:

๐Ÿ’ญ Feeling nervous, restless or tense.

๐Ÿ’ญ Having a sense of impending danger, panic or doom.

๐Ÿ’ญ Having an increased heart rate.

๐Ÿ’ญ Breathing rapidly (hyperventilation)

๐Ÿ’ญ Sweating.

๐Ÿ’ญ Trembling.

๐Ÿ’ญ Feeling weak or tired.

Anxiety is a common feeling and it's important to remember that ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ž!

There are different ways to help treat and manage anxiety disorders such as:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Self-help resources

๐Ÿ‘‰ Talking Therapy

๐Ÿ‘‰ Medication

Whichever method is right for you, you should feel supported when taking a step towards managing and overcoming anxiety ๐Ÿ’š
