'From 1 April 2021, employers who do not pay the Apprenticeship Levy can make up to 10 new reservations to fund new apprenticeship starts in the financial year 2021-22. This can be done in the ‘finance’ section of the apprenticeship service account. The reservation period has also been extended from 3 to 6 months, meaning that employers can reserve funds up to 6 months before an apprenticeship is planned to start, giving greater flexibility and reassurance that the funding is in place.
In addition, employers are also entitled to cash incentives of up to £4,000 per apprentice who joins their organisation between 1st April 2021 to 30 September 2021.
